In 2010, the U.S. Congress passed the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (the ‘Act’), following which the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (the ‘SEC’) issued rules requiring reporting companies to make disclosures concerning the use of Conflict Minerals – defined in the Act as tantalum, tin, tungsten (and the ores from which they originate) and gold. Conflict Minerals originating from the DRC region of Africa have been linked to severe human rights abuses and the raising of funds for violent and illegal purposes.

Helipebs Controls sister company was founded in the 1920’s, and Helipebs Controls itself has been established for over 40 years and is based in Longlevens, Gloucester employing over 60 people.

On the back of successfully exhibiting at OSEA in Singapore at the end of 2012, which more than met our expectations, Helipebs once again ventured to the Far East to visit OGA 2013 at the Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur earlier this month.

Helipebs Controls strategy in recent years has been to develop their design and development of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. This successful strategy has given them a foothold into various market sectors including aerospace, automotive and formula1 fatigue testing.

Helipebs Controls has always been proud of its ability to provide both hydraulic and pneumatic package elements of either its own manufacture or as a stocking distributor for specialist lines.

Helipebs Controls Ltd worked with The Local Environment Agency on a pilot project with 4 other local companies to look at Waste Minimisation. Following this successful project the companies management decided to further this good work by writing and implementing an Environmental Management System.
