ÔÇïHelipebs Controls was recently pleased to host a visit from the Jiangsu Jinshi Machinery Group (JMP) which had been arranged by the local ÔÇİJoin in China'.
JMP is the biggest supplier of oil wellhead equipment and services in China. Their products are widely used in Chinese onshore/offshore oilfields and 60% of production is exported to over 30 countries around the world. The meeting was assisted by a local company, Join in China, who acted as an intermediary between Helipebs and JMP in both setting up the meeting as well as acting as interpreter between the two companies.
JMP was represented by Mr Yin Shunshi (Chairman), Mr Qin Zhijian (Deputy General Manager – Technical) and Mr Jinying Luo (General Manager – Sales). The party was welcomed by The Right Worshipful the Mayor of Gloucester, Councillor Sebastian Field and his wife. After formal introductions had taken place, a tour of the Gloucester design and manufacturing facilities was arranged to provide an overview of Helipebs' products and processes before sitting down to a technical discussion.
Both companies work in the oil and gas sector and JMP expressed an interest in the possibility of Helipebs supplying hydraulic cylinders and stainless steel valves from the U.K. Further discussions are due to take place in China later in the year when Mark Confaloni (Sales Office Manager) travels to an exhibition and visits customers in the Shanghai, Wuxi and Jiangsu areas. Geoff Davis (Chairman) commented "China is a growing market for Helipebs Controls and regular visits are necessary if we are to continue to grow the business in this part of the world".
