Helipebs (Holdings) Limited, Parent Company of Helipebs Controls, is pleased to announce Richard Badham as a new non executive Director to its Board.
Currently employed by Rolls-Royce Defence Aerospace in Bristol since 2001, he is a manager for 20 engineers responsible for managing the configuration of all Rolls-Royce Military gas turbine propulsion systems from conception through design, development and in-service use.
Prior to working for Rolls-Royce, Richard worked in Australia where he established and managed a vintage motorcycle restoration workshop at the Classic Motorcycle Warehouse in Melbourne.
Educated at Milton Abbey School in Dorset and Oxford Brookes University (Mechanical Engineering), Richard is a member of the Royal Aeronautical Society (MRAeS) and a founding member of the Association of Configuration Managers (ACM).
In his spare time, he says "like my father, I enjoy country sports, gardening and watching rugby. I also enjoy restoring and building vehicles. I have two vintage motorcycles that I fully restored, one which I use for vintage racing and the other for regular road use. To entertain my children I have recently built an electric powered 'pedal' car based on a 1920s type 35 Bugatti".
Geoff Davis, Group Managing Director, comments "having Richard join us, it carries on the long tradition of having a member of the Badham family on the Helipebs (Holdings) Board and I am sure that his engineering knowledge and experience, combined with his pragmatic and robust approach to decision making will support the company's strong position both now and long into the future"
