As part of its growth plan, Helipebs Controls has successfully completed the rigorous processes that have allowed them to be granted Fit For Nuclear status.
Helipebs are already established in the Oil & Gas,Pharmaceutical, Aerospace, Mould and Tool sectors with their hydraulic cylinders, pneumatic cylinders and systems being supplied around the world. Having previously supplied into the Nuclear industry, we recognised this as a growth sector and understood that the next step to enhancing our credentials was to go through the Fit For Nuclear process.
Helipebs QHSE Manager Phil Weager said “To get to the right standard to supply the Nuclear sector with Hydraulic cylinders and Pneumatic cylinders was very straightforward for us because of the work we already do in safety and quality driven industries. It consisted of an online self-assessment questionnaire followed by a lengthy on site audit by a recognised third party assessor to the Nuclear sector. With Helipebs Controls already having accreditation to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and OHSA 18001 along with our design capability and continuous improvement in manufacturing technology and people, we already had the processes in place to be able to demonstrate the level of Quality and Engineering design required. However, it’s always nice to get independent confirmation and to score so highly in the audit was a great outcome.”
Fit For Nuclear status will now allow Helipebs to further develop opportunities in the nuclear sector, giving potential clients the confidence that they are a supplier of the highest calibre. Andrew Hopcraft, Helipebs Managing Director said “This is another great opportunity to grow our business and we look forward to developing new partnerships with customers from the nuclear sector”.
