The list comes just days after we reported on the county seat ranking 16th in a list of 50 cities nationwide for start-up rates.
David Owen, chief executive of GFirst LEP, said: “Gloucestershire has a vibrant economy for start-up businesses, with more than 5,500 business start-ups in 2015.
“With an outstanding success rate for business survival, the county is made up of internationally successful businesses and forward thinking people across an array of sectors; you can see why a third of our graduates choose to stay living and working in the county.
“There is a diverse range of industrial and commercial activities in the county, a highly skilled workforce and good infrastructure.”
